Six Teams Inquire about Brian Campbell

The Sharks, Senators, Penguins, Canucks, Rangers and Bruins have all made pitches for Campbell. The asking price: A player, prospect and No. 1 pick
I guess this kills the Jokinen prayers some where hoping for, Panthers havent even looked into him.

    NOT A RUMOR:

    I wouldn't mind:

SJ - Matt Carle, Dan Spang, and pick

From Ken Campbell of the Hockey News Proposed Deadline Deals:
      5) To San Jose: Brian Campbell and Tim Connolly
To Buffalo: Jonathan Cheechoo and Logan Couture

      8) To Detroit: Toni Lydman
To Buffalo: Jonathan Ericsson or Cory Emmerton

Sorry if either of these has been posted before

I am not a big fan of Cheechoo without a big time center, but Logan Couture is someone I would like to get my hands on. I can't see SJ trading him after they did so much to get him last year though.

I think we need to add some sort of a fwd prospects, because we dont even have a playmaker really in the system right now. While I like both Kennedy and Gerbe I dont see them coming in and lighting the NHL on fire. We really need to find a way to get a fwd in this deal I think. Id love to land Couture from SJ but I dont think thats feasible.

Somebody was throwing around the idea of PIT moving Staal or Christensen with a prospect and 1st for Campbell, that would be something Id be very interested in.

you watch he'll wind up in Ottawa he grew up in Ontario and he played on the Ottawa 67's in the OHL. He would love to go back home. Wade Redden is an UFA this year and Campbell can take Redden's spot.

knowing this awful FO, they'll trade Campbell to Ottawa for draft picks that won't help this year and because of it, we'll either miss the playoffs or get destroyed by Ottawa as the 8th seed.

I wouldn't think this would happen in a million years. I think they trade with Edmonton before they help out Ottawa.

and when Ottawa wins the cup, it will be the 30th overall.
