There are going to be a lot of kids in Africa that think the Pats won it all.

Yea, they don't destroy the clothes. They send them to the 3rd world. There is Bills Super Bowl Champions gear floating around somewhere in the world.

The funny thing is people bought those shirts ahead of time...I guess that will not make it out of the closet anytime in the near future...Plus the seller is from Massachusetts so he probably lost a small fortune making up shirts that are now worthless....

I was advertising manager for Brand Names during the Bills glory years, and we wouldn't produce the shirts until the game was actually won. (AFC East Champs, AFC Champs)

They had a third shift of workers at the plant ready to produce the shirts, and I had two ads ready to go in the Buffalo News on Monday -- one with football merchandise if we won, and another of the same size with, like, vacuums and blenders, if we didn't.

Haha! Don't you miss the golf pencils?

I agree, it was a dinosaur even then. The average age of our customers was about 80.

They didn't get them. They had applied for them, but some guy had already registered them months ago. He paid $400 for the 19-0 trademark and thought he was going to make a killing. He was probably more pissed after the game than anyone.

You guys probably heard about the guy that had rights to the phrase
"19-0 THE PERFECT SEASON" and was going to receive millions for use of that phrase.

How does that guy feel today?

I heard merchandise of the losing team that is made is given to the needy in Africa. Supposedly in the 90's, Africans thought the Bills were the best team of all time!

Heh heh. Maybe the Patriots could use me as their new spokesperson.
