2:46 PT: The Indianapolis Star reports Indianapolis Colts RB Edgerrin James will join his teammates on Monday. He'll be participating in on-field action during the team's ongoing off-season conditioning program. The first two weeks focused on running and lifting while the team's focus now turns to position drills.

James ready to return to pre-injury form

Edgerrin James is eager for the 2003 NFL season to begin, if for no other reason than to show that 2002 was more of an aberration than the norm.

"It's been a good spring," James said, before his second annual charity basketball game at Immokalee High School. "I'm able to do a lot of things I wasn't able to do last year."

James, still recovering from a torn ACL that sidelined him the final 10 games of 2001, rushed for 989 yards at running back for the Indianapolis Colts last season. His 3.6 yards per carry and 2 touchdowns were career lows.
