Senator Brown asks NFL to recognize 1948 Browns perfect season

Senator Sherrod Brown has written a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, asking that the statistics from the All-America Football Conference be included in the NFL record book.

The last line made me laugh

"As fans from Ohio and across the nation look forward to the Browns' dominance next year..."

I think the word "delusional" should appear before the word "fans" in that sentence.

It was the 72' Fins and he said the 73' Fins. And I guess the Ravens would really be the ones added to the record books since they are now the Browns team that was undefeated in 1948

Congress needs to get out of the sports business. Unless they are investigating illegal drugs or lease breaking with public stadiums, these congressmen & women need to get the F out of sports before they screw that up too.

Actually When the new Browns came to being all the records were able to stay with the current team. I am not sure if this was part of the deal when the original team left town but I am fairly certain it was part of the deal.
