Becomes engulfed by the SabresZone.

You know...the team that gets money and support by winning games and making a sellable/watchable product and not *****ing and whining about being in Buffalo, the third world country (as viewed by Ralph).

I'll take 2 AWESOME seasons in a row followed by an average year from the Sabres than 10 subpar seasons from the Bills.

The only way I would even consider following the Bills would be if they moved to San Antonio but I don't want them to move period, I want to have a reason to go to Buffalo every year.

How about Buffalo Bills at Toronto brought to you by Rogers Cable Network?

You will see how crazy of a hockey crowd the Sabres will get.

I'd still post everywhere else, but to hell with football.
If the BILLS move, my team is gone! No other takes it's place.

I'd think, if they moved, there's no way they'd keep the Bills name.
It only works in Buffalo, we're the Buffalo Bills, like in Buffalo Bill Cody!
A Bill is a name of a guy. Anywhere else it doesn't work, ya think :idunno:

I won't miss WGR one tiny bit. They can go now, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, but I'd like another radio station that actually talks about sports. I have Sirius radio and it is great.

There will also be a flood of people out of Buffalo, Rochester and Western NY. Watch and see. What's left of the economy will crumble.

somebody did a study back in the late 80s when Gorski first talked about this area losing the Bills and I don't remember the exact numbers but the study found that the population of the Buffalo metro area would go from about 900K to 820K based on economic and emotional impact of the Bills leaving - a loss of 10%.

THURM has it covered. It could be re-named the BuffaloZone. Boy, all that whining really came in handy.

Why the obsession with the Bills moving? Ralph is old, but appears to be in good health, and we have another season to look forward to.

And when Ralph does pass, there will be a concerted effort to keep the team here. Death and taxes are inevitable. The Bills moving is NOT.

Have a little faith, folks

Haha, please. A painfully mediocre football team isn't the reason people live here.

Seriously? You've got to be kidding me. Do you honestly think people think "Hey, you know what, I hate the snowy winters, I can't find a decent paying job outside government, the taxes are oppressive, my vote doesn't count... but hey, at least we have the Bills, so I'll stick around!" Of course not.

as has been shown the Bills have a positive economic impact to the area financially...that trickle down effect is what will make people move not the simple fact of actually losing the team.

It also will save Erie County tens of millions of dollars each year in stadium renovations that they're forced to pay on a stadium that, for all intents and purposes, they no longer own and from which they cannot collect any property taxes. That will negate a lot of the negative impact.

Mitt Romney gave a good effort in the Presidential race, but look where it got him. Nowhere.

Effort is meaningless without ability. Buffalo does not have the ability to retain a franchise of this magnitude.

tens?? I believe the county pays $3million a year in improvments...and just how much do you think that land would garner in taxes? far less than the millions that this county needs.

I thought it was $125 million over the life of the 15-year lease. So maybe not 10, but still, $8,000,000 per year is no chump change.

If memory serves...which is shaky right now because I am tired...much of what you are talking about was normal maintenance that the county was paying anyway. The money I am speaking of was for capital improvements so the team could save that money to stay competitive.
