There is no hope for improvement as long as they get to keep franchising players and signing them to long term contracts. The demarcation line between the haves and have nots will continue to grow until a new CBA allows all teams to compete for top players.

i was at the philly game this season.. if you could have heard how negatively the philly fans spoke about LJ Smith you would laugh..

they all basicaly said teh same thing.. he was a good TE that will never be an elite TE.. he will always just be the guy that is slightly above average.. never the winslow, gates, witten, shockey, clark type guy. they also complained about him always being hurt.

i personally had no interest in the guy.

I think we can pick up a decent guy in R3 who can be everything LJ Smith is without the injuries - Bennett, Keller, Carlson - all would look good in a Bills uniform.
