Bears may hold on to Briggs after all....

The Chicago Sun Times suggests the Bears may have newfound interest in retaining Lance Briggs following Brian Urlacher's recent neck surgery.
The Bears are $20 million under the cap and have made no known attempts to re-sign Bernard Berrian, so money couldn't be the issue. As it stands now, third-year player Jamar Williams is in line to replace Briggs on the weak side.
Not that we had a prayer to begin with but this could be interesting to watch.

Would love to see him is a Bills uni, but that would never happen.

He would be a monster here with Crowell and Poz.

      Damn that would be nice.

You overrate a guy who hasn't shown crap yet just like you do Edwards.

I seen enough in 2+ games to know he's certainly not going to hurt us.

And as for Edwards, I was all over him being better than Losman AND the best rookie QB in this class before the season even started and he took a regular season snap.

With a better OC (hopefully) and a few more weapons (hopefully), you'll see.

And what if he doesnt get that?
If he cant do what Losman was expected to do with the same tools, then Edwards isnt 'our' qb either.

I just dont get why people are so 'high' on Edwards, when he hasnt really shown much yet. If he turns out to be good, then great. If not, then we find someone else. Either way, it's way to early to say he's good or not.

I think you're more impressed by the big name than the play on the field, Posluszny looked just as lost as Edwards did. They both have A TON to prove this year.
