another RB this year? atrain is as good as gone, Wright is a REAL project, and we have adopted the 2 RB scheme. Would Ray Rice be a stretch in the 3rd if we had a productive FA? I'm thinking speed back/wingback here.... thoughts? How good is Fred Jackson? in REAL terms.

What about Warrick Dunn if he gets cut for 2 yrs, if not him a back similar to what he does, a true scat back that is effective in shortyardage passing game, i would draft 1 with our extra 5th, if we dont pick someone up

Dont draft one. See if you could get one in the losman trade.

It'd be nice if a vet with a year or two left would be picked up in FA as opposed to drafting another young guy. Lynch and Co. aren't going to learn the nuances of blocking, picking up blitzes, etc over the off season through osmosis.

I thought we all liked Jackson?...I know I did.

I like Jackson, but I'd still like to have a vet on the roster with the rest of the young guys.

I think a veteran FB like Dan Kreidar is a greater need

Schonert said we're gonna use a FB... Lynch, Jackson and Wright are plenty at RB.

I think Jackson isnt a "true" speedback. And i'll go on record saying that bringing in a vet like Dunn, is the wrong move.
Anthony Alridge could be had in the 5th I think. This guy is a Darren Sproles clone, only much faster. Andy Pearman with be a UDFA and prolly on the p-squad for a while but is a true burner.

Chris Johnson from ECU is another burner to be on the watch for as a change of pace back

Same deal as a QB on day two of the draft. If there is someone who slips badly yet Buffalo's scouting staff thinks is a real gem, then sure, why not. You have to figure RB is well down on the list of needs though.

Ray Rice in the 3rd!

Ray Rice in the 3rd!

Lynch and Rice is a sick combo. Prolly nastier than Lynch and Jackson. Throw Owen Schmitt in front of either of them. Felix Jones is a badass too.

Felix Jones is probably going to get drafted late first. Anyone for Christ Johnson?

Tashard Choice of Georgia Tech looked good to me in the East/West Shrine or was it the Senior Bowl? Anyway, he stiff armed Dizon, the LB out of Colorado and then ran over the CB at the sideline, Indiana's Tracy Porter, if I remember correctly. Steve Slaton would be a great value pick in round two with pick #41, but as stated, the Bills can always take their depth chart into the warroom and draft accordingly. In my mind, after the Super Bowl, the Bills have to be thinking pass rush, pass rush, and MORE pass rush against Tom Brady ( for 60 minutes, like the Giants). Maybe the Bills should target Vernon Gholston with a trade-up if they are serious about that type of upgrade! RB can wait until 4ht or 5th round, IMO.

If we want pure speed, Anthony Alridge is it. 4.32. cant get much faster @RB.
