Ideas?

I really dont see a stadium being built in the actual downtown area unless some buildings are torn down. Below are some ideas I just threw together when I was bored.

I like this one, right on the water, enough room for parking.. for you tailgating enthusiasts who dont complain about winds blowing off the water. I also placed some docks for boaters.

Replacing Pilot Field and a parking lot (no clue where to put ramps lol, just looks nice in that spot)

I think we need to worry about keeping the Bills here as of now, instead of thinking about where we'd put a new stadium.

Getting a new stadium keeps the Bills here.

I swear this is where I think it will end up, really nice work here. Toss some ramps with heaters for those that do not like the wind and some road modifications and you have a huge amount of room for parking. The early games will attract all the boaters for the weekend and there will be water tailgating, a first for us in Buffalo.

I like where it is now. About 10 mins away from my home. We don't need a bigger stadium, just a dome needs to be added.

Although I still maintain that the Ralph is a great NFL stadium if there was to be a new stadium built it should be IN BUFFALO and preferably on the waterfront. The exact location (street and whatnot) I have no business having an opinion on since I don't know the layout of the land very well.

Go about 5 miles south and put it at the old Bethlehem Steel site in Lackawanna

I think that would be the best bet also. Like near the beginning of the skyway.

i still think they have to put it closer to the canadian border to make it easy access for them and draw more fans from that country. ive said before they could put it in wheatfield near the indian reservation (insert offensive racial joke here) which would give them plenty of room, less wind, cheap land, and seventy thousand fill ups at the reservation gas stations

How about Fort Erie?

It puts a permanent face in a rapidly growing part of the area, while still being right across the border from Buffalo, closer than the Ralph is now. Besides, we might get a bridge as part of the deal, too.

Now, I know a lot of people will cringe at the thought of our new stadium being in Canada, but done right I think it would work.

IF it gets built it is guaranteed to be downtown. There are a couple spots down there but definitely will be downtown so lets not talk about other places or argue about this.

The Stadium needs to go Downtown. Period. If it had been put there in the first place it would have been alot harder to yank the Bills from Buffalo.

However, I actually think it's going to end up on the Amherst Campus at UB. That way the state can appropriate dollars for it. Just a theory of course.

While I do agree with this anyways it is an absolute LOCK that it would be built downtown.

You lambasted me for venturing an opinion that the City of Buffalo might be at the beginning of a comeback. Now, you want to put a new stadium - which, along with the Waterfront development, the Medical Campus, the expansion of UB, the new Federal Courthouse, the Casino, etc., would definitely help Buffalo's resurgence - in Canada?

HOW?

Who would build it? How could a publically funded stadium(by the state of New York) be build in Canada. It makes no sense whatsoever. Would the Fort Erie taxpayers pay for it? :idunno: Think people!

Pretty much everyone talking about a new stadium... Who do you figure would pay for it? If a Buffalo owner takes over it would most certainly have to come from Ny tax dollars. If a Toronto buyer purchases it they would most certainly place the team in Toronto. Fort Erie is an impossibility IMO. (not to mention a horrible spot)

Then they would be called the Buffalo Steelers? LOL! Just kidding. That would be a great spot for the Bills to play.

This is why I was thinking Grand Island, of course you would need to build extra bridges... OR MAYBE: since they are thinking of building a seperate bridge for Truckers, open that up to stricktly stadium traffic on sundays...

Thoughts?

And you plan on getting those dollars from the state legislature... how? Shelly Silver won't ever let stadium financing pass-- ask the West Side stadium advocates.

If they ever build a new stadium it'll have to be outside New York State. There's a reason the Giants and Jets play in NJ.

Well then I guess it will be in Toronto then. No chance of Fort Erie. That would make no sense what so ever.

As long as it is a dome, i dont care. A couple superbowls here in buffalo would spruce up the economy. we all know, no dome-no bowl.

They should build it on top of HSBC Arena, that would be cool.

I vote for JD's #1 spot the Pier restaurant site. but JD get real they aren't going to rip down Pilot Field/North Americare Park by the way that was the stupid name for the ballpark /Dunn Tire Park the stadium was opened in 1988 and it's a nice ballpark
