The San Diego Chargers re-signed dependable Canadian kicker Steve Christie to a one-year contract Monday.
Christie of Oakville, Ont., made 18 of 26 field-goal attempts and 35 of 36 PATs last season. He also delivered twice in overtime, kicking a 40-yard field goal against San Francisco on Nov. 17 and a 27-yarder against Denver two weeks later. The 35-year-old kicker has nine career overtime field goals, tying him with Jim Breech for the most in NFL history.
