Class action lawsuit filed against Pats asking for $100 Million

A class action lawsuit filed in federal court here Friday claims that the New England Patriots "fraudulent videotaping" of the St. Louis Rams' walk-through prior to Super Bowl XXXVI 2002 Super Bowl should cost the team damages in excess of $100 million.

This is getting uglier and uglier.

NFL investigation, Senator meetings, congressional hearing, media pressure, and now a lawsuit. Sooner or later the league and Robert Kraft just won't be able to defend it anymore. Just too much heat to handle.

So what do they do? Unload it all on the fall guy. But he has to be someone significant so it satisfies all the accusers, so just some video assistant guy isn't going to cut it. Bellichick is the man.

My guess is, gradually but sooner rather than later, we will start hearing blames getting shifted to Bellichick, first vaguely implied and then more specific and blatant. He will eventually be forced to resign, heavily fined, banned from the league, or all of the above. He'll be told to take the fall, and walk away quietly. Then Goodell and Kraft will have "cleaned up the league" and let's move on to make more money.

Politics are everywhere people. THat's the only way to save the league and quiet the fans.

They should relocated the Pats to Europe and give them 16 away games a year.

actually the courts have been very clear that an organization is responsible for the decisions of it's management. So they can't just shift the blame to an individual in a legal sense.

good, keep this in the news and continue to expose the Pats as the Cheatriots...

they've built their dynasty on a mountain of lies. Now we can suspect why it was so easy for the Patriots to continually replace there Pro-Bowl players with unknowns and never miss a beat. The game gets alot easier when you know what's going to happen before it does. Average players become stars, and Stars become HOF'ers, and HOF'ers become record breakers. No different then what Steroids does for an individual player, and the steroid scandals have made it all the way to our upper level governments.

those tapes should not have been destroyed, they could have proved or disproved conspiracy theories, but by destroying them they are now feeding theories that won't rest.
