Thanks to the people who took the time to welcome me to the forum :cheers: While I am not a fan of the Buffalo Bills, I spent most of my life in and around the Buffalo area and was a season ticket holder before I moved to North Carolina (parents, sister, and brother-in-law are all Buffalo Bills fanatics :confused: )
Your team has been making a lot of noise during the off-season and I am looking forward to seeing what they do when the 2003 season kicks off!:) Perhaps we will finally see that 49ers/Bills Super Bowl that Chris Berman has been predicting for so long:idunno:

He had a huge cap purge and still managed to keep the team compeditive- instead of bottoming out like a lot of cap purged teams do (like the Bills)

I think that makes him a great coach, not a good coach.

Lou Saban CUT the #1 offensive player in the AFL in 1964 after he embarassed his team- RB Cookie Gilchrist- when he was 9-1 and on his way to a championship- and only brought him back when the player apologized. He traded him off as soon as the season was over. Oh, I forgot, it's before your time and does not count. :rolleyes:

Sounds like you are more of a fan of the shallow, selfish player instead of the team.

I think I need to make another trip to UOP and work up another interveiw at the niner's camp, this time with Erickson. I'll get his take on where he sees the 49'ers going this season. I had a great time interveiwing Bruce DeHaven and Kevin Williams a few years back. any ex-Bills on the niner's roster? I need to take a look on their web site, and keep looking at who they pick up.

From 1995-98 Erickson was the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. During his time there he posted a 31-33 record (the same current mark as Mike Holmgren).
