I don't doubt that steroids affect football, but I think the NFL has been far more proactive about dealing with the issue than has major league baseball with its head in the sand commissioner Bud Selig.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

Im a yankee fan and these comments pissed me off. Hes being a whiny little ***** and trying to divert attention. He wants to know why the NFL isnt getting the spot light...? Well there has been any players in the NFL who have had a decent career and then explode to shatter records when they SHOULD be declining in production bc of age. Hes acting like a 5 year old.

I doubt there is much steroid use, considering how much they test for it and that it carries an automatic suspension on the first try. The risk is too high.
However, one has to think they are taking HGH like it's candy. They can't test for it, and there are some pretty freakishly athletic guys in the NFL.

The NFL was more pro-active then any other sport in getting steroid testing in place as soon as they realized problem.
Baseball on the other hand was reactive and only after major records were being shattered regulalry.

Yeah, I've never thought about it, but I would think that today at least, HGH is a far worse problem in the NFL than steroids. The NFL certainly has a history with steroids though. I'm sure the name Lyle Alzado rings a bell.Last edited by TigerJ; 02-20-2008, 01:03 PM.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
