The agent for Seattle restricted free agent defensive tackle Cedric Woodard said yesterday that he expects the Seahawks to make a decision on whether to match the Patriots' offer sheet to Woodard well before Friday's deadline.
As of yesterday afternoon, the Woodard camp was unaware which direction the Seahawks would go in.

``I've been told they don't want to loose him, so I'd have to say it's 50-50,'' said agent Jordan Woy. ``I wouldn't be surprised if Seattle makes a decision in the next day or two. They either want to get him back in with what they're doing, or send him on his way.''

Seattle has revamped its defensive coaching staff with new coordinator Ray Rhodes, and the push is on to indoctrinate the players to the new scheme.

While Woodard (6-foot-2, 320 pounds) has had trouble cracking the Seahawks' lineup the past three years, he is known as an extremely hard worker - something that surely piqued the interest of Pats coach Bill Belichick.
