Dmitri Kalinin, who is an unrestricted free agent this summer, may be dealt by the NHL trade deadline on Feb. 26th. The team has not offered him a new deal yet and they are not expected to before Fe. 26, as they have been focused on getting Brian Campbell under contract. "It’s nothing you control. If it happens, it happens," he said. "I’m trying to just play my best game right now. I want to be accountable for this team first of all. I don’t mind staying here. I’ve been here a long time. I like it here and my wife likes it here." He has formed a stable defensive pairing with Nolan Pratt of late, but the two do not have much fantasy value.

I'd **** myself if that big rumor was true...

Campbell, Kalinin and Lydman for 3 big heavy hitting/crease clearing Dmen.... that would be a trade for the record books in regards to Darcys tenure.

Sorry.. I was referring to the other thread which said the Sabres were shopping around campbell, kalinin and another dman in exchange for 3 new dmen. This article could back the guy that losman wins plagorized.

While most of the talk around the Sabres is swirling about Campbell’s contract status, there’s a chance Kalinin could be heading into his last week as a Sabre as well. He’s an unrestricted free agent and could be traded by Tuesday’s deadline.

if they were going to do that they should have started at the beginning of the year...give the guys time to gain chemistry.

You never know.. maybe they've just realized how bad they ****ed things up so we're beefin up for next year? Anything could happen.. the past few years says it all with those crazy transactions.
