Nicklas Lidstrom will be out of the Detroit lineup for at least the next three weeks with a sprained MCL. Lidstrom injured his right knee on Monday when hit by the Avs Ian Laperriere. "I don't think it was a dirty hit. He did follow through with his elbow and he should have gotten a two minute minor, Lidstrom said. It did occur when I went down, the knee came out of the side a little awkwardly and that's when I got hurt." It was feared that Lidstrom also suffered a concussion from the hit, but he passed his first test for a concussion and will undergo one more concussion-related test in a couple of days. Reserve Lidstrom for now and hope he is back soon. Despite the injury, Lidstrom will still be the front-runner for the Norris Trophy as top defenseman at the end of the year.
