Our Chicago mole tells us that the Bears are talking quietly with the San Francisco 49ers regarding a possible trade for the rights to restricted free agent receiver Tai Streets.
Word is that Streets, who grew up just south of Chicago in Matteson, Illinois, is amenable to the deal.
The Bears have discussed sending to San Fran a middle-round pick and receiver Dez White, or a third-rounder and receiver Marcus Robertson.
The Bears are concerned, however, about the asking price for a long-term contract. If the demands aren't reduced, the Bears will be more likely to wait until after June 1, when the next wave of veteran free agents will hit the open market.
