For most people it wouldn't even cross their mind, but for the Bungles it's different.

NFL | Buccaneers and Bengals Talk? - from KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
April 8, 2003 15:40:56 PT Kevin Goheen reports for the Cincinnati Post an NFL source told the newspaper the Cincinnati Bengals may be interested in trading their No. 1 pick in the upcoming April draft to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Reportedly the two sides have conducted preliminary discussions about the matter. One name that has surfaced for a possible trade is that of DT Warren Sapp.

If they did this it would definitely be a money issue. Mike Brown must've already forked over too much money this year.

Not our #1, the #1 pick in the draft.

Only the Bengals would think this up.

Wow... Sapp?

Are the Bucs nuts? The only reason they would do that would be to get someone like Kennedy... is Sapp that big of a locker room cancer that they'd be willing to trade in a pro-bowl DT for an unproven rookie? Don't the Bucs have salary cap issues too? Why would they do this?

I'd trade Sapp for the #1 pick in the draft anyday. He doesn't have that many years left in the league. If you could get a young impact player by trading him then hell yeah.

Oh man,

Sapp would be in hell in Cincy. I don't see it happening though. If it did happen though I couldn't think of a better guy for it to happen to :D

I think the Bengals would lose out in that deal, if it happened. I think Lewis has already gone on record as saying that the rumor is not accurate. Anyway, if they were to trade the pick, I'd hope they would trade down and try to acquire more picks. They need more than one good player!

If I were Cincy I'd do it. the guys a loud mouth but he's awesome. unless he's a huge locker room cancer i'd do it if I were them. I wouldn't do it in buffalo because we have two bonafide starters and it's not worth the money for us but for Cincy it is.

The Bucs trade Sapp for a no. 1 , to free cap to get Seau. The fins are pissed and I'm happy. :D The fins then are forced to seek the Wizzard of OZ to asked for a heartand courage for their D and a brain for Wanny.

Good points, cas...Sapp is proven in the NFL
Ki-Jana has had injury probs all along
Klingler was a joke
Wilkinson didn't do jack until he got to Washington...and even there he was barely average.

I don't think Sapp is that much of a cancer. I think he is outspoken and he gets targeted by the league and the media. But when it comes right down to it the guy is a top notch player who puts out 110% and delivers and that is what he expects others to do. He's not a cancer he's a leader.

If there is not a player I could grab with the number one I was real excited about I wouldn't think twice about dealing it away for a player like Sapp. Try and get them to go for a lower pick (not much but a few spots) and try and trade that top pick to another team so they can move up. Get some more out of it. There's a lot of possibilities depending what each party's needs are.

We don't need Sapp - so no for us.

The Begals need all the help they can get - so if I were a bengals fan - I'd say yes we should trade our #1 (thee #1) for Sapp.

I think this would be a stupid move on the Bengal's part.

Sapp has proven to be motivated when it suits him. He's awesome when the team is winning and on a roll, but he dissapears and loses interest when the Bucs struggle.

He's a great piece on a well built team, he would be awful on a team like the Bengals.
