At the combine he was measured at 5'9 169lbs!!!. I mean he is smaller then Roscoe Parrish.

California WR DeSean Jackson measured in at 5'9/169 at the NFL Combine weigh-in.

This is significant. Jackson was listed at 6'0/172 during his Cal days. He still has superior explosiveness to hang his hat on, but teams may not view such a diminutive player as a legitimate outside receiver right away. Expect Jackson to fall at least to the bottom of the first round.

Steve Smith isn't a good football player either, he is too short. i hope thats sarcasm. Steve Smith is a great football player at 5'9 but there are two major differencesbetween him and desean jackson.

1. Desean Jackson is 169 lbs while Steve Smith is 185. Steve Smith has a little bit of bulk to him whih allows him to take hits and catch balls down the middle. Jackson will be smothered in the NFL.

2. Smith no matter what is going to make catches. Jackson is to inconsistant. He seemed to get lost in a lot of games at cal last season and that is at the college level. I do not see him doing anything in the NFL

Desean Jackson might be highly effective for a team with a big receiver or two. We simply don't need another Smurf, however.
