The Sabres play the :cry:ers Monday night in Buffalo before the trade deadline which is Tues. at 3:00pm. Now here's what I'm thinking if Campbell has a huge game like he played in the playoffs when he laid out Umburger and was a +6 and was the best Sabres defenceman in that game the Sabres would have to give him a new contract. If he plays like he has been playing these couple of games they will trade him. This is my feeling the Sabres are waiting until after Monday Night's game to make a decision on Campbell and offering him a contract or trading him.

so let me get this straight- he's been with the team since '99 and they're going to determine his future based on one game?

Sometimes you need to think before you type.

Kalinin better hope for a hat-trick on monday so they don't trade him :chuckle:

well let's see ... in Vanek's final three games in last year's playoffs, he had one assist and two shots. And then he got a $50 million contract. So the most-recent-game theory doesn't have much of a history here.

Man, looking at this board, trade deadline week is full moon season.

Then again, the way this team fiddles around with personnel, I wouldn't be surprised if it came down to the last shift.

Why would one game make difference? Come on, you really don't believe that...do you?

Trades are in the works well before the trade deadline. I have to agree with everyone else here.

They better trade him otherwise we will not sign him in the off season. Unless they decide they do not want to keep Miller in the future. Then they can offer Campbell the big dollars.

a ****ing 3-year deal. That's why he turned it down. if they gave him the same ****ing money for a 5 or 6 year deal. I bet he would have taken it. :sigh:
