Now I must admit I'm pretty new to the whole NHL scene and been trying to learn as much as I can about it...but I know how big picks in the first round are for the NFL, but how about the NHL? I know it takes longer for picks to develop (it took Ovechkin and Crosbey over a season to really reach full potential), will these first round picks be big? Or is it very much a hit and miss (knowing Bernier was a first rounder too and hasn't proven much).
Seems like this is a payoff that if happens at all, will take a couple years, even more.
Right?
