I haven't been listening all day but I haven't heard that SJ has given him an extention. What are the chances the Sabres can sign him back? I think that will make the trade look great.

Zero chance.
Before, the Sabres were the only team that had the opportunity to negotiate with him. Now, other teams will be able to make bids, plus the Boyle contract. The only way to get him back is to overpay- and if the FO didn't overpay for Drury or Briere they sure as hell won't do it for Campbell.Comment

It almost seems like until it actually happened Campbell never thought he could be playing elsewhere. If he misses Buffalo like he said he will maybe he will get homesick and want to come back here. Its happened before however I really think the chances are slim at best.Comment

I heard that it wasn't money that was a problem, it was the length of the contract.... apparently soupy and his agent were dead set on 8 years but the team didn't wanna go that far.2008-2009 BZHL Champion!
