    Kalinin

For a while Darcy has been quoted as saying that every team that came asking about a trade mentioned Kalinin first. Now he will leave as an UFA with the Sabres getting no compensation.

Or WORSE, the Sabres might resign him!

    I think he is fine as a #4-5 d-man.

I gotta believe there was no real market for him. He was too good to give away for nothing, but not good enough to give up alot to get him as a rental.

I wouldn't mind him coming back but only if he doesn't get a raise

        I want Ipullmygroinov traded

          Why dump Max?

          A point a game between 2005-2007.

He also opens ice for other players.

He makes 2.25 mil a year as it is. That is not money you pay for a 4 or 5 defenseman.

He has been playing very well in the last month. Sign him for 3 years 9 million, saving about 4 million per season over Campbell.

After all these years he finally has put together a month! By all means give him a huge raise so that when we make the playoffs again Ruff can only play him for a few minutes a game!

He'll get dumped by the trade deadline next year before he's a FA.

Not really a huge raise at all.

Wow Doc I didn't know that! As far as him opening up ice, I wish Ruff would let him do even more of it.

Do you watch the games? Lindy has said on more than one occasion about Max that he needs to play within the system more and not free lance. I agree with the system, but I would like to see Max go nuts more.

Yes I watch most of the games, and all I see is Max skating around like a mad man and giving up the puck 50% of the time. The only positive that I really seen out of Max this year is his ability to attract penalties from his skating.

the risk on Kalinin is that he forgets it once he has gotten it...the guy can disappear for long periods of time.
