That's because they talk baseball 70% of the time, and 20% yapping about nothing anyone else cares about.

Plus they love to rank all time best this and best that all day long. Who cares.

Which means, in essence, that they talk 90% of the time about things 90% of the people don't care about.

So if if I started a Beer and Babes show with Lt. Dan, the ratings would be off the charts ?

Maybe because 1) Clemens is a big story right now, 2) It's baseball season, 3) NFL season is over 4) Not many people care about hockey, 5) Im glad they don't talk about the NBA

TD is right. Its baseball season, the steroid thing is big and popular right now, football season is over until the draft rolls around and ESPN dropped hockey after that last strike. And who really cares about basketball all that much

Actually, like a lot of older folks, I love baseball. When I was growing up, it was THE sport. I still go to a lot of spring training games when we vacation in Florida, and get the MLB package on DirecTV.

Go Indians!

I like them a lot in a few weeks they will talk about March Madness almost exclusively and then Spring Football, the Draft, and then mini camp, NFL and College Football. But they rarely speak about just baseball when its not the season.

Oh and GO BRAVES!

Trust me, they talk about baseball just as much in October. It's sickening.

I hate baseball. They could be talking about special olympics frisbee and it would be more interesting.

It's also a damned good excuse to drink beer on a warm summer's day.

I hate the Patriots and I root for any team that play them, but I don't become a big fan of the Giants or anything. :idunno:

baseball is terrible.

boring, regional, slow, dull, tired and lame.

between football, boxing, and MMA you can see real men taking risks and dealing with fear and physics, not umpires whims and a stupid little ball.

i like sports where being out of condition results in bodily harm and pain, not some sloppy pitcher (clemens was on roids and he STILL looks like a barely in shape average man) taking 20 breaths between each pitch.

Why shouldn't we talk trash? It's funny how Boston fans talk trash now after winning a couple World Series the past 90 years.

We are only allowed to have one BB team so I switch them up every few months. I lived in Houston for 3 1/2 years and got to go to a lot of their games. I became a fan while living there. I even met Drayton McClain at Fan appreciation day and a buddy and I had like a 20 min conversation with him about the pitfalls of free-agency :D

Voltron

That is not trash ... that is the truth. Every Yankee fan I know never shuts up about how great every person on the team is. They always bring up the "26 championships" when a majority of their parents weren't even born when they got all those pennants.

Well it is the start of baseball season so of course they are going to be talking about that. The Roger Clemens thing is also a story many people want to hear about right now.

As much as we love the NFL they can't talk about it every single day. That is what the NFLN is for. With the FA period here they will be talking about the big signings that are made.

For a pair of hosts that have been on the air for almost a decade and have won awards they must be doing something right. When you have a 4 hour show that starts at 6am you are also bound to mention the same thing over again. Not everyone tunes in at 6am or can tune in for the entire show. I watch/listen to it almost every morning.
