Take this with a grain of salt if you will, but considering its the time of year, why not throw a rumor out there to wet our whistles. Rumor, from another board (that I hate by the way) is that Marcus Stroud is coming in tonight and tomorrow night. Can anyone stake out the airport?

I enjoy it I just detest people that make up rumors and/or stories out of nothing. Hey, I dont make up rumors. Plain and simple. Im repeating this one and I never even do that. I think detesting someone whos talking football rumors on a football message board is a bit silly dont you? I know its a hated practice, by the response I will just keep the next rumor to myself. As I said, I am trying to get some credibility to it so its not like Im flinging spam just to do it. Whatever, lesson learned I guess. I will keep the next one to myself... The Jaguars have reportedly given DT Marcus Stroud permission to seek a trade.

He'll find a taker, but the market for a player with possibly career threatening ankle issues and monstrous base salaries shouldn't overwhelm. Stroud was also suspended four games last year for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Atlanta could take a flier and try to restructure Stroud's deal.

If it's a FA, yes. If it's a player who has been released or has permission to seek a trade, no. I think the tampering rules are relaxed a bit if it's only within 24 hours imo.

Btw, one of the reasons that there are rumors that the 9ers are out of the Briggs sweepstakes is because they were accused of tampering w/him and don't want to get caught. So they back away from Briggs, according to PFT.com
