I am at least mildly surprised at them cutting Thomas.

Makes me think for sure we're locked on a CB in Free Agency.. Doesnt mean we wont draft one also. Still, I'm a little surprised.

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised too. He did a decent job out there and was fine as a nickel back IMO.

Maybe we are going after Asanta Samuel.... :idunno:

if we get a DT in FA and a WR, i'll be very happy with DRC @ 11.

2nd and 3rd will get us TE, LB, WR (2 picks in 3rd) and we can trade up if a stud falls.

i have a feeling if we get our guys in fa and there is a run on a position (wr might get gobbled up late 1st) we might end up drafting the best interior O line in the 2nd or 3rd. that would make our o line like KC's was a few seasons ago -- monster good.

sign a vet cb in free agency, someone who wont cost much

I think if we draft DRC at R1 then we can still go

R2 DT - possibly Sims, Bryant, Moore, or Laws
R3a TE - Keller, Bennett etc
R3b LB - Butler, Gooden, Bell, Goff etc
R4 WR - Bowman likely to be available

Upgraded across the board

DRC time. Pretty racist dont you think?
I mean the Nigerian nightrain was good but that was a long time ago.
I think there are good players from all over the world:

From Wiki

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (French: République démocratique du Congo), also often referred to as DR Congo, or DRC

i think Buffalo will definitely draft a CB early or sign one of the bigger name FA CBs after this

I mean, who just randomly cuts their nickle CB who makes under a mil a year? That was a strange move. He wasn't even that bad. And, I am in favor of not cutting guys unless you have someone better.

Then they go and keep the worst guy (Jefferson) at our weakest position? Makes zero sense.

Not much out there in the CB market. I know because the Pats need help there as well.

One guy I think it interesting is Reynaldo Hill of the Titans, a RFA. He was tendered at the low-level, so any team that signs him away will have to give up a 7th round pick.

Hill isn't the most physical CB (5-11, 185#), but he is very fast and a good athlete. In 3 years with the Titans he has 6 Ints and 16 passes defensed, so he has some ball skills. Maybe not a starter, but an interesting guy for a team looking to add depth in the secondary.
