All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

UPDATED: Anderson signs multiyear deal with Browns
UPDATED: Anderson signs multiyear deal with Browns
The Cleveland Browns are poised to launch Plan B at quarterback.
B, for Brady, that is.
The club was unable to sign starter Derek Anderson to a three-year, $20 million contract - $10 million guaranteed - before Friday's 12:01 a.m. free agency deadline and are prepared to turn their high-powered offense over to Brady Quinn, a first-round pick from last year and fan favorite.
Re: Derek Anderson a free agent, Quinn to be Browns' QB
It's a big gamble on Andersons part, betting that teams are always looking for QB's with starting experience. I found it hard to believe the Browns were going to give him a long term deal, with Quinn and his big contract already there. This is what Cleveland wanted all along. Brees/Rivers all over again.
Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit

The only thing I really heard about that, was a Adam Schefter thinking he'd be a good fit in Miami, not really saying that Miami is interested.
I wouldn't mind Volek, myself, but it seems like the 1st QB FA that Miami is bringing in for a visit Friday is McNown from Da Raidaz.
Yeah, they are bringing McCown (not McNown) and Calvin Pace in. Interesting to see if they sign Pace considering they already have Joey Porter. Could it spell the end of Joey?
According to Alex Marvez, Miami is going to offer Pace a contract along the lines of what Adalius Thomas and Joey Porter received last year (5 Yrs/$30M+, $20M guaranteed).
BTW, the reason people link Volek is because Parcells reportedly likes him. However, you are right it is just speculation.

I'm working with my morning brain so far...I wonder if they would move Porter to the other side. It seems like he wasn't being used in the same way as he was used in Pitt, so if I'm wondering they would do something like that if they bring in Pace. I don't know all of Pace's details to be completely honest, but what I've been reading recently, I've been liking.

What the heck do they do with two high paid QB's?
Quinn's base salary isn't very high...I believe it's 2 million.
His contract for it to make him money is predicated on him making incentives. Obviously while he sits his overrated ass on the sideline he'll never make those incentives.
