If Marv was still GM, it would have been 5 years 35 mil.

That's an awfully reasonable contract for a solid starter. But wait....I thought no one wanted to play for Buffalo :D

Marv did not negotiate contracts. That was always Modrak...the same guy who negotiated this one.

Good pickup and we are not breaking the bak on him, I am happy with this signing! It allows us to look to other areas that need attention.

Guaranteed money is comparatively low as well.

Good pickup, this LBer group seemed to be a little light in the ass this year especially without Poz, they would get worn out by run teams by the 4th quarter.

So...

Which side does he play on - Sam or Will?

He weighs 253 - that seems pretty big for a weak side guy.

I officially give this signing an A+. Great player, great contract numbers, and just think: Brady might piss his pants having to line up against him twice a year now. Perhaps he'll get Super Bowl flashbacks.

Isn't Mitchell's weakness his lack of athletic ability? I really hope this means the wimpy cover two defense is a thing of the past.

If Mitchell was worth anymore money then he would have gotten here or epecially somewhere else.

He's an average player that played on a great defense with tons of stars around him. He's better then what we have now but he is far from a stud like some are making him out to be. Just because he was on the Giants doesn't mean he is great.

This is just another case of the Buffalo Bills fans syndrome. Whenever a new player is signed they automatically become a great player. Just like Larry Tripplett a couple years ago.

We have an upgrade that will be a decent player but not a game changer. If he was worth 5+ million a year he would have gotten it.

This team needs impact players. Not more average complimentary players at a decent price. We need players who can impact and change the course of a game. Mitchell is not that. He is steady but far from great.
