Anyone who knows me knows I detest these ******ed types of postings, last year when I did this with Dockery I waited til I heard it from a reliable source (on the radio, no I dont have any wealthy insiders).

Locally there is a radio station dedicated to the saints and all day they have been doing a sort of run down of all the happenings.

Apparently the trade aspect is done, the hold up is a new contract. Both the jags and Bills agreed to a trade (dont know what it is). Stroud is under contract already but apparently Buffalo is attempting to work out a 5-6 year deal re-structured with some clauses having to do with a 2nd suspension. Basically the Bills are trying to protect themselves while not so much being worried about the cost. They dont believe the contract will be too drastically different with what he has, its more of an extension with a few "extras".

Take it with a grain of salt for now. Just a rumor til something happens.

Pretty much every site I've seen today said it's just a matter of time, so this would confirm that.

HAVE to?

Wasnt there a Chinese torture where they propped a persons eyes open? Why am I picturing this?

Is there some tangible reason that we need to squelch genuine excitement for the Bills or a love for the game?

i'm with you edwardsera, that is what these cites are for, hardcore fans and sharing news. this is deffinatly a time to be excited as a bills fan. a decent year last year, great rookie class last year and we have already had a decent free agent pickup and what looks like a monster trade with stroud, great time to be a bills fan!

Grain can actually mean "a small, hard particle". And, it can mean "the smallest amount of something". So, not only can you say "a grain of salt", you can actually say "a grain of truth".

It's 8:30 ... when does this become less likely?

Are you anxious for it to be dead?

and this is why I hate posting these kind of things. Even if it turns out to be true we get this kind of stuff til it actually happens.

The more time goes by, the more I'm starting to worry. What an absolute cluster f**k this would be if we don't get Stroud. There are NO decent DT left on the market and all the ones available via trade have been moved. Let's hope for the best. Man, I wish some of these freakin' sports reporters in Buffalo would actually do their job and provide us with some information!

You guys need to chill out. There has benn NO indication that anything is falling apart. A great many negotiations don't get done in one day.

If the Bills haven't signed Stroud by now it isn't going to happen. You never let a prospect walk away from the table unless the negotiations have reached a stale mate.

Everybody chill out and go to sleep. when we wake up in the morning Marcus Stroud will be a Buffalo Bill and we will all cry out with joy. They did the trade already they are working out the contracts. Old Ralph is trying to pull a fast one on us and surprise us in the morning with a new preasant. he is just like santa clause

Normally I might agree with you, but the fact that the front office has a recent history of fubaring this type of situation (Walker last year, regardless of how he played or where he is now) is enough to give fans legitimate reason for concern.

If you want to carry the gun in your hand, you better have the balls to pull the trigger when it's warranted.
