We pretty much already know that the deal between the Jags and Bills is done, now it's just the Bills and Stroud.

Not if his injury is that bad. Micro-fracture is nothing to **** around with.

very true, i was just thinking..we are digging ourselves deeper cutting triplett, what if stroud gets hurt, which is a major possibilty..like, who are our DT's gonna be..man im worried now.

Perhaps we are convinced that Ellis will fall to us.

Could the delay be that the Bills medical staff did some tests and are waiting for the results before they agree on a trade?

could be..but i just think its that Stroud wants more money and we're delaying because we dont want to give him too much.

we probably got a 24 hour window to negotiate a deal with stroud from the time the 2 teams agreed upon the trade, so if we didnt really agree to the trade till 6pm lets say then until 6pm today there would still be a chance that the deal was being worked out. kinda odd anyways now that i think about it, that he hasnt been mentioned with any other team and we cut or starting DT and jauron bascially indicated there was another big signing coming. plus you can never take what the AP says as gospel i should have realized that as well last night, with drew rosenhaus as his agent it could have been him saying that just to stir the pot LOL!

ellis and dorsey will never fall out of the top 10 and there is a better chance of us signing stroud than the bills moving up higher in the 1st round, will each space up in the top 10 the money skyrockets and ralphy isnt going to pay it. the ONLY way dorsey falls is if this knee is really SCREWED up, in which case why would we draft him, with his weight it would always be an issue.

Even with Stroud we still have a big need for a young big DT. Stroud alone is not enough. It helps if he can stay healthy, but we can't throw all our eggs in the Stroud basket either. I would still like to see us make a play for one of the top DT this year as well.

Dorsey might be as big of a health risk as Stroud.

I don't want him anymore if he's going to be a major pain in the ass over contract terms right off the bat.

Pass and move on...We've got plenty of other needs that can be addressed.

Until you see how our front seven looks with him on the field.

If he gets on the field?

He managed 11games in 2006
Only 9 games in 2007

Checking my maths that could be 7games in 2008 - which at $7m a season means $1m a game or possibly $200,000 per tackle.

We might as well give him a printing press along with the licence to print money.
