Why did we take a DE and an OT with our first two picks?

Why did we take a DE and an OT with our first two picks?

Lack of Pass Rush led to the pick of Merling who is the most athletic DE in the class and Sam Baker is a 1st Round talent at RT who could step in for Walker at RT if we move him inside to try and solve our RG issues since we couldn't sign a good one. Now please answer my question.

And because its my thread and my scenario

Do we have to argue about the "issues" at RG again? :D

Passing on Bennett to take a OT would be stupid. ;)

Give me some time and I will play along though.....

Sounds like people are having issues answering the question.

I'm a little dazed from passing on Kelly, Cromartie, Rivers and Bennett in the first two rounds.

It's like I left the room to take a piss and everything went to hell. It takes time to regroup and try to salvage something out of this draft.

Hmm.

First of all I still wondering why the owner talked me into drafting Sam Baker....

3A-Andre Caldwell-6-0-210-4.37...40 productive in SEC. Best wr avaialble .. I would consider Earl Bennett

3b. Ahtyba Rubin-Big Fire plug DT who has been climbing up boards...6-3-315...35 reps 225 good at holding up at point od attack he can shoot gap.. needs work on pass rush...

Other playes considered Martin Rucker, Pressley-DT NC st

I hope that TE Kellen Davis and Finley are there in rd 4 or5 or Moulden and Chevis jackson in rd 4 or 5 ...

That is a tough spot for the Bills, but I probably go:

DT - F. Okam
WR - E. Bennett

Only way Manningham slips to 3rd round is if he runs another slow 40 time on his pro day.

We can argue about RG all day long, fact is neither of us is going to convince the other.

I agree, but if I made these things logical then there is no fun in it for me, or any of you.

Okay...Outside of kicking somebody's ass for the first two picks and stuck in a less than ideal situation I would...

3A. Take Earl Bennett, WR, Vanderbilt...A little slower than ideal for a #2, but good hands, productive, runs good routes and is a decent blocker. 6'1", 206 lbs isn't huge, but big enough at this point if I want to attempt to upgrade at the #2 WR at all.

3B. Kellen Davis, TE, Michigan State...Again, since I got screwed in FA and the first two rounds, probably the best TE option available at a position of need. 6'6" and 245 lbs makes a great red zone target. Has all the physical attributes, I just hope like hell he's willing to work harder to improve.

Finally...Pray like hell that somebody drops to us in the fourth from the DT position, or hope someone gets cut that is serviceable and can be brought in mid to late camp.

Your telling me and this is one of the easier ones, lucky I didnt include a big board you had to choose from due to the over bearing owner.

Kicking someone's ass is completely acceptable and gr8 is the designated recipient of all ass-kicking.
