    It would appear we also signed...

    Spencer Johnson. I know this was rumored all yesterday I just never saw confirmation.

    The Bills and DT Spencer Johnson have reportedly agreed to terms on a five-year contract.

    Johnson is a versatile player who has been Minnesota's third tackle behind the Williams behemoths the last few years. He could have some untapped potential, and should fit in Buffalo's tackle rotation.
    So a rotation of McCargo/Stroud/Johnson/Williams

    beats the **** out of

    Triplett/Mccargo/Williams/Jefferson

        I've heard he's a good backup. He's certainly better than Jefferson, who was our 4th DT last year.

          It means we almost certainly will not draft a DT in a deep DT class

          Will be a stupid, stupid, stupid miss, as bad as not taking Ngata in 2006

              Not so sure about that. With Strouds past injury concern, drafting one in Rounds 3-4 wouldn't be a surprise at all.

                What the hell... How can people be pissed at this? He's been stuck behind Williams and Williams for the Vikings and has shown flashes of some real talent. and he will be a DEPTH guy here. What isn't to like? Seriously?

                    I'm happy we are upgrading, but what signing these types of backup players means we may decide not to invest in certain position in the draft, hampering us for the future.

                    Also rookies never develop if they are buried so deep in the depth chart they never see the field.

                            Johnson may backup McCargo at the 3 Tech. Williams backs up Stroud at the 1 Tech for now. I still think they might draft another big 2 Gap DT in the middle rounds.
