The cornerback position has to be addressed, right?

I know that when running the cover-two, corners aren't necessarily as important as in some other defenses, but I feel this still is a weak spot on our team.

Granted, Greer is an overachiever who is universally liked by all of us, but (to me, at least) McGee is a little bit of a liability. Also, they both have a difficult time handling larger receivers -- see Randy Moss this year and Roy Williams last year.

Lito Sheppard is supposedly on the market; do the Bills make a play for him or someone else?

would be nice if we can upgrade the position without breaking the bank.

Our stronger front seven is going to make the secondary a lot better but I think we draft a cornerback in the first round without a doubt.

the secondary is in good shape in my opinion. we have guys who held up pretty well considering there was 0 push from our line last year. if our LB and DT positions got better like advertised, i don't think our secondary is going to be stuck covering for 5-8 seconds every down like last year. Also, i don't think we'll need whitner playing run support so much this year.

If we grab another WR in FA'cy and are able to lock up Lee. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if we drafted Lee's replacement if the bills aren't sure they can extend Lee.

Watch the Senior Bowl video of DR-C sniping that come back route to the sideline and lunge to break it up.

I haven't seen a Bills corner do that in five years.

                Look at his height.

Heck, on this team he'd probably have to have a custom locker.

We need to get a 6 foot corner with skills.

DRC is 6/1 1/2, runs the 40 in 4.33 seconds, and has the highest vertical of any DB prospect in the draf at 38.5 inches. This kid has the size, the speed, and the skill to be a shut down CB.

I would love for us to grab him. Question is, does the scheme call for a top cb or should we use the pick on another area.

I hope we have the luxury to go BPA when draft comes. This would mean we already filled the needs via FA'cy.

well our scheme doesnt call for a big wide DT like Stroud but we have apparently started to get away from that. With Whitner who struggled in pass coverage last year and Simpson coming off a year long injury I think a shut down CB makes perfect sense!

                        Screw the "scheme."

Stop the third down conversions, or 7 yd first down completions.

I am so tired of neglecting athletes for scheme.

I agree but does the FO agree? Agree with Church, get a DL that can rattle the qb consistently and we won't need a top CB but still grab DRC because we have the luxury . A shutdown corner isn't gonna do much if the qb has time to throw.

Id' rather the cb's get INT's because of consistent DL pressure than the DL getting coverage sacks.

Ill take both and until we can upgrade our DE's we will need to compensate with better coverage.

What we've done with the front seven to date allows us the leeway to take a look at a couple of guys in FA without pressing, or just wait until the draft and see who's available.

It's a nice place to be at the moment.
