All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Too bad. I liked Gaines. He was a tough TE who could get the hard yards.
He did have his problems trying to go deep, but you don't expect TEs to have to go deep too often. He really grew as a player this with the loss to Everett.

Good for Gaines. He went from being on the scrap heap to getting himself a respectable contract. I'll enjoy seeing him in Detroit, as I watch most of their games (during commercials of course).

he's a good TE we screwed up not re-signing him I think he is gonna show some people this year I woulda rather had him back then any f/a TE out there and well over Royal
For a guy that wasn't even in training camp and came in off the street during the season, I thought he played well. I liked his size too. He was a beast, but could move too. I'm dissapointed we didn't re-sign him, but it's nice to see him get a good contract.

Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Yeah but Edwards seemed to trust Gaines and Gaines generally followed through for him. It's important for a young QB trying to learn the game to feel comfortable and trust the players around him. BTW, where do you get the idea that Troupe is any kind of an upgrade?
