Wow! Russ is turning into Scott Pioli. He's more secretative than the White House. It's kinda funny listening to him, he's dodging all the main questions about Johnson and Troupe and other stuff like a pro. I don't remember our front office ever being this hush hush before. I'm starting to think that the reason he got the job is because Marv/Tom Modrak and even Tom Donahoe groomed him to take over....

He said "I never saw Johnson". Very possible indeed, even if Johnson was in town. Johnson could have been meeting with others (i.e. John Guy, Overdorf, etc.)

Brandon was very careful to parse his words like a politician.

Supposedly, Johnson got in last night and is going to visit today. Apparently a contract has been drawn up already and agreed upon tentatively.

You are right about the way he talks, it's so much like a politician, but that's how all the GMs act nowadays, especially the young ones.
