Seems like a similar player to Kelly Washington.

I thought Jenkins outplayed him on special teams. Everyone always said what a good special teamer he was, but I don't really remember him doing much.

My one thought... call off the season! Actually, he isn't a WR as much as a special teams coverage player. A good one too, as has been stated here!

I like using Aiken a lot in Madden.

First he will be pumped for information. Then he will become a pro bowler.

Jenkins did step it up which is probably why we let him go. And I'm glad we did. He was useless as a WR, and I think we have enough people to step up in STs even with losing him.

He's made a few nice ST tackles, but he's not special at all. I'm actually relived that he moved on. Time to give somone else a try.

He's been shown to excel when he knows what the defense is doing.

he'll get dumped after he tells BB what Aprils ST playbook looks like.

Who knows what the deal was with Aiken.

He was the biggest wide reciever last season (6'2"/215 pound) but the coaches had absolutely no faith in him as a receiver.

There were a lot of comments by the coaches about how they could not run their 4-receiver sets after Price got hurt. It was not because they lacked more than 3 receivers. It was like they just did not want him on the field even to simply occupy a man. And yet, he always looks decent in the pre-season games.

He got screwed. They never gave him a chance to truly take over for Moulds. :sigh: :(

He's from the same town I live in currently... I met his mom at the grocery store right by my house this past season... he doesn't suck at special teams...

Ok, that's about all the nice things I've got to say about him really.

Jenkins > Aiken

The single player I am most relieved we did not sign. Thank you NE, now just leave Haggan alone.

Didn't Jonathan Smith do the same thing awhile back, only to be cut after spilling the info?

yes, but Bellicheck screwed up this time because he signed Aiken BEFORE he learned our new plays.

I never thought much of Aiken, but watch him excel in NE and make our lives miserable for the next 3 years. I guess we'll find out what he's really made of- any halfway decent receiver can succeed in that offense.

It will be interesting to see what Aiken can do for the Pats, but I think the Kelly Washington comparison was apt.

Actually, with the Pats getting Moss back, I think that they will move Washington up the depth chart to replace Stallworth in their starting lineup and Aiken will take Washington's place as 5th WR and ST ace. As a STer, I actually think he is an upgrade over Washington, who I think showed more as a receiver than Aiken when he was with Cincy.

From the Bills perspective, Aiken isn't that big of a loss because they have to solid, young "gunners" on STs with J.Jenkins and Wendling that they like a lot. With Jenkins filling Aiken's spot on the roster, the Bills can now bring in a WR in free agency and still draft a WR that they can give a year or two to develop into a stud.

I thought they brought in Clay Aiken to share a bunk with Brady. I wouldn't call that a reach.

Watch BB do to SAm Aiken what he did with Morris. PLay like probowlers before they end up in IR.
