It's looking good on the Bryant Johnson front

"I definitely think I'd fit in good with the Bills. I have a few (visits), but hopefully I won't have to take any more visits after I leave here," Johnson said. "My agent is going to talk with them and hopefully we can work something out and make both of us happy. I'm optimistic. I want both parties to be happy."

Guess this couldn't go with the other 100 Bryant Johnson threads...

It's meant to counter the "It isn't looking good..." thread.

This thread was needed. With everyone being pessimistic about Bryant going to Washington, this states he doesn't want to go anywhere after leaving here. He WANTS to sign with the BILLS.

          Bryant Johnson to the Bills?
He's at the team's facility now and will be made available to the media here in a couple hours. As the past few days have shown us, when a team makes a "free agent" available he usually is signing with the team that day. Expect a deal to get done here in a matter of moments. You draftniks might want to rethink that 11th pick, though I suppose I could see them still going Malcolm Kelly or Limas Sweed.

Yeah ok, guys. If you believe he's going to sign based on that, I got a bridge to sell ya.

What is he supposed to say?

"Eh, yeah, the Bills are OK. Don't know if I would want to be here, sorry guys."

He's on his way to Washington. He'll get paid.

Why would he have a press conference without a contract? Did we do that with Stroud, etc? No.

Well, that contradicts what he said. The guy came out and said he hopes he doesnt make another visit. I find it hard to believe that he would bold face lie.

I just hate the fact that we might have to overpay for him if Washington is in the picture. What then? We draft Sweed or someone to eventually replace Evans? I just hope whatever happens we have enough money to resign Evans long term AND get johnson for a decent price.

just the money being thrown at WR's recently is INSANE...

                            Is it your money?

Seriously, maybe it cost 1 mill per more, we have plenty, who cares.

I can promise that having that extra 1 mill in cap room next year wont win us games on the field, Johnson very well might.

I think He might want to play for the Bills but will end up going to whomever gives him the most money. I think that is what he was trying to say in a nice way. Hopefully Washington won't outbid us by much and we can match them.
