View Full Version : The FA Silly $$ Period Has Concluded

The Bills did quite well. Mitchell didn't cost much. Johnson basically got Trippletts contract and Stroud got some $$ shifted up front for a moving bonus but didn't get a new megadeal.

We didn't overspend like Oakland, the Jets, Cleveland, Miami and others.

Now comes the tour of the next tier of FA's, where you actually let them leave and establish their market without overpaying, like Bryant Johnson. He's a good player but you don't reach and crunch your cap, like some of the above teams did. We still have tons of space but let's extend our own.

Johnson, Hackett...whoever. We'll get someone I'm guessing, prior to the draft and then draft another WR anyhow.

TE's are all over the place on Draft weekend, so I'm not concerned about having to have one now. They can play immediately and contribute. It's deep at that position.

Get the Losman issue solved. Keeping him around just serves as a distraction. Move him for a pick and sign a Vet.

Get Evans extended.

We'll still sign some ST, backup types over the next few weeks, I'm guessing. If we can get a WR and TE, that's great but I'm already moving on to study the Draft. The big name period has concluded and we did better than I thought. Never saw the Stroud trade coming.

Go Bills !

I'm betting Walker or Hackett still get a silly contract. Maybe even throw Johnson into the mix.
