Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit paydirt yesterday with a fat new contract extension. And if Toronto organizers have their way, he'll get a chance to show some of that worth this summer at the Rogers Centre.
A source familiar with the Buffalo Bills' foray into Southern Ontario said that the Steelers are one of the high-profile teams being seriously courted for the pre-season game that will kick off the NFL team's eight game series over five seasons.




That would be a pretty sweet game, albiet preseason. Ability for people from pittsburgh and buffalo to drive to this game.

I'm just so glad that I don't have to pay full price to go to a preseason game anymore. Hell, Toronto can have both of them if they want! :up:

I love the first preseason game of the year. Sunny weather and the tailgating is blast!

But one a year is fine.

I heard the Bills are playing the Seahawks in December.

Yes this I am fine with. They could play all preseason games in Toronto for the rest of time and I wouldn't care.

Did you hear that on WGR this morning?

If so, they were just going through the Bills opponents and making a schedule up.
