    Funny spin on Favre retirement

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The NFL's loss might be Jim Kelly's gain. Brett Favre's abrupt retirement on Tuesday means Kelly, the Hall of Fame quarterback, is in line for a new hunting partner.

"I remember talking to him a couple of years ago, and I said, `When you retire, we're going to go hunting," Kelly said, recalling a conversation the two outdoorsmen had in 2006 when the Packers last played at Buffalo. "And he said, `You'll be one of the first people I'll talk to about going hunting.' So I look forward to that. But I'm going to miss watching him play."

They will probably hunt about 15 mins from my house. Kelly has a huge house that he built near Ellicottville.

      Funny spin on Favre retirement

John Wawrow, AP's Bills reporter had an funny article last night on what Favre's retirement means to Jim Kelly.

Jim Kelly had this to say, "I remember talking to him a couple of years ago, and I said, `When you retire, we're going to go hunting," Kelly said, recalling a conversation the two outdoorsmen had in 2006 when the Packers last played at Buffalo. "And he said, `You'll be one of the first people I'll talk to about going hunting.' So I look forward to that. But I'm going to miss watching him play."

Football's loss is Kelly's gain. Jimbo has a new hunting partner. Let's hope they stay safe out there together.

Leave Dick Cheney out of the mix and they'll both be OK.
