He had one great game as a Raider, 2 TDs. That was Week 1 of the 2005-06 season I think. Since then he had done nothing.

This is interesting, we've signed Teyo, we've had Troupe in for a visit and now Anderson. We're clearly trying to go athletic at TE, this is a good sign.

It would be a good sign if we signed troupe, get the camp fodder form UDFA's

Assuming he could stay healthy Troupe would be a great thing.

According to Chris Brown, he's 6'6" and 270. He's considered more of a receiving tight end than a blocker, having been a former WR. Oakland, where he spent his first three seasons used him in the red zone to take advantage of his height. He was cut before the 2007 season, spent a little time in Miami and the early part of the regular season in Detroit where he only saw the field in 2 games. He had a career best 25 receptions in 2006. I don't know anything about him. This is all from Brown's article.

I just checked couchscout.com for anything on Anderson. Not much there. They list him as running a pedestrian 4.86 40. By comparison, Teyo Johnson whom the Bills signed a few weeks ago runs a 4.72.

u serious?
every team makes signings like this, projects, low-risk high reward signings that either work or the player is gone the next year. not a big deal.
pats just picked up aiken and webster, what bargain basement junk signings, successful teams would never pick up players like them...oh wait....
