Mitchell: "Hit Tom Brady"

For the better part of a decade, the Bills have tasted defeat at the hands of the New England Patriots.

Their new linebacker, Kawika Mitchell, just beat New England on the world's biggest stage. The former Giant joined The Howard Simon Show with advice on how to top the Pats.

"Hit Tom Brady as much as you can," Mitchell said Wednesday morning. "Don’t matter if it’s a penalty. You gotta get in the guy’s face."

He'll be doing so at Ralph Wilson Stadium, a place he's played twice - once with the Chiefs, and once with the Giants. It's a venue Mitchell said he's excited to call home.

"Every time I’ve played there, it’s a great atmosphere, everybody’s going crazy, and I know they have a rich history and tradition," Mitchell said.

That's what I kept saying.

Hit him fast and hard. Hit him late and frequent. Get him scared for his life and the Patriots will crumble.

We need to see some zone blitzing next year if we're going to get pressure on anyone.

gr8 might have to change it to "mitchell kills people".

He can lay the wood man. I watched some film over the weekend and rarely does he miss once he gets his hands on someone. Of the ten games I watched I think I only counted three times where he missed a tackle.

that's awesome. i don't know much about this guy, but anybody that wants to level tom brady is a great guy in my book.

So I am guessing this means when you are a rushing the QB and you are falling forward you should stick your elbow out on the way down and accidentally make contact with Brady's knee.

that's awesome. i don't know much about this guy, but anybody that wants to level tom brady is a great guy in my book.

I've got ten games on DVD, I can mail you some if you want to watch him. I also plan on posting my breakdown of his game film like I did with Dockery.

We need to see some zone blitzing next year if we're going to get pressure on anyone.

it should be a ton different this season

1. stroud will eat up two blockers just about every play and clog the middle

b. mcjumbo should continue his improvement from last year and be able to take advantage of frequent one on one blocking matchups

7. that leaves poz plenty of freedom to secure the middle area along the los

æ. that also allows the pasty cracker ends to focus more on the perimeter and rushing the passer

z. all of this should give more room for a lb or db to blitz when they decide to

that means they shouldnt have to blitz nearly as much to generate pressure and have more effective blitzes when they do

That's the problem though, we didn't blitz at all last year. I see where you're going with it but I still think we need to.
