Trade JP to ATL or CHI. Then trade to Houston at the 18th spot and get a 4th in return.

Your off-season isn't looking too hot at the moment, ML.

11th is worth 1250. 18th is worth 900. A 350 difference. Their fourth is worth like 66.

No.

Lets see. There not going to give up a third moving up 7. If this was trading to 21 then I could see a 3rd. But only 7 spots is not worth a 3rd.

The system is based on points dude. Do some homework.

What the **** would this accomplish?

Lets see. We move the 18th spot. Still pick up who we want to. And still get another pick out of it. Is it that hard to figure out?

We'd have three fourth rounders to use on guys that have a better chance of selling insurance in two years than playing football.

One could be the next Antonio Gates, the other Jerry Rice, and the third Champ Bailey. All would be steals that will step immediately into the starting line-up and be future HOFers.

Duh.

Have to give us more than a 4th to move up that high.

If I remember, wasnt McGee our 4th round pick a few years back. Roosevelt Coolvin was in the 4th. So was Samuel, Rudi Johnson, Andre Reed, Brandon Stokley, Stephan Davis, and Lorenzo Neal. Its not a wasted round.

It's not a wasted round but you chose to select successful players. I'm sure the ratio of starters to flops picked in the third round would suprise you. People that are selling insurance today!

Jason Peters was an UDFA. Why don't we just skip the draft altogether, pick up the scraps, and turn them all into pro-bowlers at different positions then they played in college?

Moving from 11 to 18 is worth 350 points. Equivalent to the 55th pick of the draft in the trimester of the second round! Not a fourth round pick. I would be up for that, but not a fourth round pick. You want to just cut Lee Evans right now while we're at it?

Apparently there's a very good chance we'll get a 4th round supplemental pick anyway.

If we trade Losman for a 4th, we can stay at No11, and still have 3x 4th round picks.

What's the excitement of 4th round picks anyway?

Personally I would rather trade Losman for a 2009 pick. We've got 8picks already, plus 2 likely supplemental picks.

We've used FA to fill a number of gaps in the roster. I don't want to select guys just for the sake of it and then cut them because we've been lazy scouting them.

The Giants selected 8 players last year and all made the roster. We need to ensure the same.

Come On YR, most 4th Rounders sign 3-4 year deal and few are out of football in 2 years. Also if picked right you can get a solid contributor just like we found Peters.
