What's with the ugly hats?

Once every couple of years, those hat designers come up with the ugliest hats. Can you imagine them forcing the players wear them again this year on the sideline?

They're showing a complete lack of creativity. The top one is supposed to be the newest design this year. Looks like some cheapo truck driver hat.

I use a Miami Dolphin hat to collect money when I beg on the streets. It seems to be the hat of choice for most of the top beggars.

I really like the design of this one from last year, but the rubber bill ruined it...

I have seen the style trend. I see them poppimg up here and there. Justin Timberlake and Ashton Kushner wear mesh back hats. I still think they look silly though.

I like the looks of it too, but like you said the rubber bill sucked. Have you felt the hat material though? It's so sort of cheesy nylon, not cotton. I wish they'd make one just like that with regular cotton material.

I haven't seen the material in person - but I know what you mean.. I like the cotton/canvas or whatever it is too. The new material looks a little too shiny and plastic-y for my taste.

New Era makes some sick 59-50 fitted Bills hats. They are simple blue with the logo on the front and Bills written in red on the back. I have one of those. They are the same quality and material as MLB hats.

You need the old style wool hats. Fitted, not "one size fits all".

I have a red hat I bought a couple of years ago at a Bisons game that has a standing buffalo in front of a flag.

i have found a couple bills hats .. a black one with a silver logo..looks almost liek the raiders..

then a maroon one with a raised logo that is the same color.. i havent ever seen anyone with either..

then i have a beige one too.

EE, the 59fifties are the wool fifted ones. I looked for a long time for them. I got mine from a New Era catalog. there web site is www.neweracaps.com

www.lids.com also has some fitted ones, either white or blue but they are the flex-fit kind.

I think they look kinda lame myself...but I've had the tradition of wearing the official sideline hat every year. At least I can avoid it til the regular season. Maybe by then, it won't seem as bad.

What do you guys think about the Puma hats from 3-4 years ago - the ones that have leather around the edge of the bill, and the velcro fitting strap in the back?

The hat's blue, it says Bills underneath the team logo, and then on the side, it says Buffalo vertically.

That's the one I won in a drawing at a mall (actually my friend won it, but they didn't have the Broncos hat he wanted, so he got that one, and gave it to me).

I agree the hats are ugly, afterall I was the one starting this thread. :) But the Bills didn't design the hats. It's the people at Reebok or their vendors. Every NFL team will be stuck with the same ugly hat this year. :puke:
