Falcons obviously not interested in Losman, resign Harrington

No surprise here - Harrington is a Loseman clone, but a better player.

                Nice inflamitory post.

Nothing means anything else....you just made assuptions.

Is it possible one involves a draft pick and one does not?

Is it possible that was what there plan was from the start ...?

No that would not give you the chance to bash JP.

                Hater.

while The Answer can be highly suspect, he's not entirely wrong. Falcons taking Harrington back does give them 4 qbs if they draft one this year. The likely hood of a trade that the bills would find worthwhile probably won't happen.

There is still time for JP to land someone where else.

There were all kinds of rumors circulating that Atlanta was interested in trading for Loseman. But obviously two things happened:

                          1) We didn't bite on an offer for a 7th round draft pick
                          2) Atlanta figured out that the only thing Loseman has in common with Vick is that he is an atrocious, innaccurate passer, but unfortunately lacks the mobility the current convicted felon had.

What does this tell you that they settled for resigning another 1st round bust they just cut instead of making a more aggressive offer for JP Loserman?

he is 1 year deep into their system, so it would make more sense for them to resign him then to grab someone essentually the same and rebuild a system into his dome. they could still grab him but i doubt it. plus harrington hasn't done much, even with good recievers when he was a lion (ok maybe only 1 or 2 wr's, but still better than what we have.) he just has less talent to deal with in ATL. i think what makes his situation different than jp's is that he had more confidence from his coaching staff to keep him in all year every year until they decided he wasn't working out. we did sort of the same thing with jp, but remember, every year there was a qb controversy here, so while there was jauron saying that "he was our man," there was little doubt that he actually was (especially when we drafted edwards). i still think he has more value than harrington, just atl doesn't want to teach another qb with sort of the same characteristics a system while someone who is more qualified could be resigned, possibly for cheaper. i still think other teams might be interested in JP tho (even as a backup), however, i haven't done research to figure out who yet.

You don't trade a 1st day pick for a QB unless you think he has a good chance of starting for you. There isn't a single team in the NFL that would likely feel that way about Lossman. None.

I can identify maybe 7 teams that might have interest in him as a backup if Buffalo were to release him but will any of them step up and offer more than a 6th round pick as a trade? Anything's possible but IMO it's unlikely. So JP will probably be here this season unless he makes a stink.

If there is any team JP could fit in with it's Denver. Their offense requires the QB to do a lot of rollouts and bootlegs which is JP's strength. And Mike Shanahan is a great QB coach. But Denver already has it's QB of the future so would they pony up much for JP? In a word no.
