All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Let me be the first to call for one. A whole bunch of players are UFA's or RFA's after '09. The FO needs to make some decisions this off-season and make some major changes while some of these guys still have some value. A hard-nosed defenseman and a marquee player to replace Drury/Briere should be obtained no matter who it costs, because we won't be able to re-sign most of these guys anyway.
Time to rebuild. You can thank the brilliant FO for that one.
This team is MILES away from being a contender and I do agree that they need to blow the entire thing up. This team is made up of a bunch of quitters who are plain gutless. A little adversity and they melt. Putrid...just putrid.
The Sharks haven't lost since obtaining Campbell- he turns that team around but can't manage to spur us? This team couldn't get the job done when it was essentially the same team PLUS three marquee players: Briere, Campbell and Drury. That's how far away we are and that's why we need to cut down and reload.

Call edmonton and unload Vanek, F-in ghost tonight.
I really believe the FO knew going into this season that there were going to be more changes to come and no real moves to keep this team intact. I don't think its a bad thing and suffering through a season like this is worth it if they rebuild to make another run. Go Sabres
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't repeat myself.
OH WAIT, hes a youngin, trying to prove himself, etc.. heyyyyyyyyyyyyy that makes sense. all of these ****ing tools we have now think their **** dont stink.
note to self, roy cant stick handle thru guys for his life.

Paille has heart? Paille came to play? I heard these statements on this board.
Yes, he did score 2 goals, and 1 came from hard work and the other was soft. Nobody in the NHL scores from the wing any more. Why did he wait until the 3rd period to show this heart? He is just another young player on the bubble, walking around looking for leadership just like 75 percent of this team. The other 25 percent is waiting for someone to be a leader.
The team is still young (Youngest in the NHL? And, yes, I know they have some experience). You don't go on a fire sale, especially with a nearly bare cupboard in the minors.
What they do need is a veteran player who can lead them. I really don't know who is out there.
It grates me to no end when teams get themselves in this situation -
"We need a few great players."
"OK, well we drafted this one college hotshot guy, we just traded for two others who are stellar players and leaders, and we have another who is ready to come up from the minors."
"Cool."
"Well, the college guy is inconsistent, but he's got potential."
"OK"
"Hey, we've got a pretty good team. Maybe one more solid player would help."
"Hmmm..... that would cost money."
"Now two of our best players want new contracts."
"There's no way we will can pay them. Sorry."
"They just signed with other teams."
"Well, that sucks."
"Now the college guy got a fat offer from another team. We've got to overpay him, or else the fans will crucify us."
"OK, no problem since we wouldn't couldn't keep the other two."
"Now our best defenseman needs a new contract."
"Make him a ridiculous decent offer."
"No deal. We need to trade him."
"OK"
"College guy can't score anymore."
"Hmmmmm...."
"I don't think we're going to make the playoffs."
"Damn."
"I know."

You should have heard the Pittsburgh broadcast team last night. They were going on and on about Max and how great and explosive he was and how he was the only one out there showing any heart.
This all while he continuously puck handled through 3 guys, just to make a horrible pass that was directly turned over to the Penguins... kinda like he's been doing for several years now. I wanted badly to like the guy but I think we've realized at this point that he's all flash and no substance. He's the seniormost guy on the team but you'd never ever know that from watching his play.
Apparantly he still has some value around the league however, it'd be nice to try and unload him while you could possibly get a little something for him.
Max is so frustrating because he has, as the Hockey News once said on its cover, "mind-blowing" talent. His speed and agility routinely draw two or three defenders. Of course, the problem is he'll try to beat those three defenders all by himself, and it never works. In all these years he hasn't learned how to use his teammates when that happens.
