My thoughts on what we should do at the WR position

    1. Re-sign Lee Evans

    2. Either sign Bryant Johnson or go the draft route (if we sign Johnson we still draft at least 1)

    3. The draft route: I am pretty confident in either Sweed or Kelly in RD. 1. in RD.2 I think Devin Thomas WR Michigan State could be available or maybe move back into the 1st. Another name that has been mentioned in falling in the draft is Adarius Bowman WR Oklahoma State. We may have a shot at landing Bowman in the 3rd or 4th round. So Sweed, Kelly, Thomas, Bowman would be my choices in this draft that would help our receiving corps.

To also improve our receiving corps if TE Dustin Keller is there in the 2nd I would grab him only if Devin Thomas is gone.

    Devin Thomas

Are you saying we only need to draft or sign 1 WR?

Also I think with Thomas absolutely pathetic vertical which shows in the video, he will definitely be there in the 2nd.

He's rated between #3 and #4 on most draft boards as far as WR's go. He has had consistency issues in the past and some off the field problems to. He's gotten a lot more fluid in his route running recently and really put it all together this past season.

He hit his girlfriend I believe, and also was suspended two games this past season, dont know that a reason was ever fully given.

Also has taken plays off in the past and his focus is not always on football.

No I said we at least draft 1 receiver even if we sign Johnson. If we don't sign Johnson I would expect us 2 draft at least 2 WR's preferably the one's I mentioned.

His speed is unquestioned. He did improve his vertical at his pro day.

JUST VERTICAL AND BENCH FOR THOMAS: Hard to blame Michigan St. WR Devin Thomas for standing by his blistering 4.4 40-time from the combine. He also had a strong showing in the receiving drills by all accounts. So at the Spartans pro day he just did the vertical leap and improved that by five inches. He did 28 inches at the combine and did 33 at the pro day. He also did the bench press which he had skipped at the combine and did 16 reps, which is considered average for wideouts. ---

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Indiana University's top wide receiver from last season faces battery charges in what authorities said was an attack on his girlfriend and their infant son.

Glad to see his vertical came up, still on the low end, Id like to see it above 35 to be perfectly honest since he's not the tallest guy or has the longest arms. I dont see him as a first round pick though.

if the guy beat an infant, he should be shot in the face with a gun.. not drafted by an nfl team.

mark hardy off of all my draft lists.. i just want to kill him now or watch him blow out his knee mcgahee style.

I was thinking the same thing as far as vertical. I think he is a playmaker.
