And I'm not going to let any of you haters change my mind.
Far and away, the biggest need on this team is a WR with size. I hate drafting WR's in the first round for many reasons, but especially because sometimes it takes a year and sometimes two before a WR steps it up.
If we don't sign Johnson, it almost forces us to take a WR in the first round and our offense will struggle because of the fact that whoever we take in the first round may take time to develop.
The fact is, BJ has great size and he's been in the league for 4 years which means he's entering his prime. I hear all the BS about his numbers, but stats don't always tell the story. You've all heard the stat arguments from both sides, so I won't get into detail. But this guy is a first round talent, who has been playing behind a pair of absolute superstars. There's only one ball on the field at a time.
IMO, this guy is TOTALLY worth a shot, it would make our offense better over night and it would totally open up the draft.
That is all.
