    Please Mr. Golisano.....

It's time for somebody's head to roll. Larry Quinn gave us a very unpopular logo and forced it on us.

Then the same guy decided that we don't need our team captains, any of them. So he convinced you to let JP Dumont, Jay McKee, Mike Grier, Danny Briere, Chris Drury and even Brian Campbell go. All 3 of the players wanted to be here and offered a fair price to sign them, basically just $5 million per year. However, Darcy Regier does not usually sign contracts a year in advance that often. He prefers to wait a bit. The team also doesn't like to do many long term deals, which has bit them in the ass at the same time.

Basically, the two of them have taken a team that was in the Eastern Conference Finals two years in a row, and also 1 period away from the Stanley Cup Finals and has ripped it apart!!! You had the Sabres fans eating out of your hands and loving you, loving the team and selling out the arena. Hell, you had fans watching the game outside in the cold, crappy weather, just so they can enjoy the Buffalo Sabres experience together.

Now, you have a team that is 4 points out of the playoffs and not playing good at all. Their confidence looks shot, the goalie looks worn out, the players are missing their leaders. The fans are upset, so you won't be selling all those season tickets that you sold over the last few years. You need to make a move and let everybody know that it will be okay.

So, IF these really were not your ideas and you didn't back them, the first thing you will do after the season is FIRE LARRY QUINN. Then hire someone else with hockey knowledge to help you run the team. Give Darcy Regier one more chance to see what he can go, or fire him too. Then it's time to start rebuilding this team to the Buffalo Sabres team that was the best in the league and the most exciting, even if you gotta move guys like Maxim Afinogenov. It's time for a change!

    1) Get over the logo already. Cartoons don't win games.
    2) Hit the enter key once in a while.
    3) Golisano does not operate in a vacuum. He's just as responsible for the Sabres' mess as all the others.

      1. Sorry it's too hard, because I really depise it. How is it bad for me to hate on the logo, yet it's okay for the Bills fans to constantly bash the navy blue uniforms? :scratch? Bite me!

      2. I hit the enter key and fixed it. So again, bite me!

      3. Golisano does not operate in a vacuum, I agree. That's why I wrote the final paragraph.

        No ****.

I am so sick of hearing about this ****ing logo.

BTW, I bet they still have the 14,000 season tickets next year. The waiting list is way too long.

And they would have never signed all 3. Maybe two of the three.

          Huh?

You mention the logo way more than anybody mentions the Bills uniforms. And, they do not have to make the logo so you like it.

Returning to the Blue and Gold would have been dumb. With having the new logo and the Blue and Gold onthe shelves they were able to sell merchandise with two logos on it.

          That has been explained before.

Right after the Bills unis came out, everybody *****ed about them even more than the slug. Hell, I still see posts about how nice the throwbacks are and how we should go back to those. Returning to the blue and gold would have worked, if they tweaked the logo. It could have been like the different Sabres logos people were leaking out on the net. You know what, **** it! I'll delete that first paragraph. That's not my point anyways.

You might want to delete Grier's name too.

They matched his offer and he still left.

This organization has made enough mistakes. Don't need to add ones they did not make.

If he's not a hockey guy, fine, but one would think Tom would be pissed at missing out on playoff revenue. That's reason to fire Larry right there.

One thing they have to do is very publically start with Miller in July to get him extended. It would at least start to calm fans down and make it look like they are trying to keep some of the team together.

He left because he saw how this team treats their veterans. He saw what they did with McKee and others and how they usually don't give long term deals with the players. Didn't he even comment that he "saw some uncertainty in Buffalo" Looks like he was right.

I totally agree with you on that.

But something tells me he'll give him one year to straighten the ship. To me, Golisano doesnt have much knowledge on how to run a hockey team and needs quinn at the moment.

Greir took the same money in San JOse and said in his departure, that he doesnt like the way the team is heading, and does not like the FO, that is why he left so i gotta agree to what Mikey82 originally posted, u can add a hard nosed prospect in Chris Thorburn, also letting players walk all day without getting anything for them, ala Satan, Zhitnik, etc.

So what if they matched. I thought about it then and even more about it now. Grier made certain comments about the "direction the team was going". Maybe now after one more year, the direction is more clear. Maybe sticking with guys like Kalinin, Kotalik, etc is the direction he was talking about. Drury also said after last season that it seemed as if some players have to learn to give everything they have to win, Lindy talked about players playing our of character.

I'll tell you what, I will be very pissed if the Sabres even TRY to resign Kalinin.

Good luck. After the way they've dealt with players the past 2 years I wouldn't be surprised to see him walk as well.

None of these guys may be "superstars" on their own, but together, as a team, they were damn good.

I will never forgive them for letting Campbell more or less walk out of town. He was much better than people gave him credit for.

What good is "drafting" young talent if you never intend to keep them around? It seems to have worked really well for the other team in town
