Making the playoffs is going to be difficult for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Getting there without captain Mats Sundin figures to be next to impossible.

The Maple Leafs won't have their best player available Saturday night when they host one of the teams they are chasing in the Eastern Conference - the Buffalo Sabres.

Thought to be out of the playoff race just three weeks ago, the Maple Leafs (32-30-10) have been one of the league's hottest teams lately, going 9-3-1 in their last 13 games. That surge has pulled them within five points of Philadelphia for the eighth and final postseason spot and three points behind ninth-place Buffalo (33-28-11).

We've got a lot of injuries, but the young guns can give their all tonight, we don't play again til Wed. so leave it all out on the ice tonight Sabres!
Rakin' the Leafs, bag 'em, and kick them to the curb with the other garbage.

Great we have the lead, but we need a buffer anti-ref lead of at least 3 goals to feel good.
And Kaleta does deserve more minutes, GO SABRES! :oldskool:

Kaleta needs more ice time, the kids punishing hits are gamechangers.

THE BUFFALO KID!!! My cousin played against him when he was a Sophomore for Williamsville East H.S. hockey team when Kaleta was a Senior at St. Francis my cousin says he's a pain to play against, but he's the nicest kid you'll ever meet off the ice. "My cousin says he made us look like monkeys out there" on the ice and now he roots for him he even has a Kaleta jersey.
